Continuant amb els codecs de video a windows. Sembla que windows vista l'ha fet grossa en relació amb aquest codec -i altres coses-. Això ho afirma Ligos -l'empresa creadora del codec Indeo- a la seva web. Windows ha incorporat el codec com a codi intern del sistema operatiu incapacitant a l'usuari modificar-lo o esborrar-lo. Com a conseqüència és possible -i a la practica passa, eh natxo- que algunes aplicacions no funcionin sota el sistema operatiu. Per exemple que els videos codificats amb aquest codec no es puguin reproduïr correctament.
L'anunci també fa esment que el mateix problema el poden patir windows XP i Windows 7.
Per tant en cas de que una aplicació no funcioni correctament en un d'aquest sistemes hauriem de recorrer a les actualitzacions de windows.

Windows XP Vista SP2 and Windows 7 - As of May 2009, Ligos noticed indications that Microsoft had begun including versions of Indeo in these operating systems and associated updates, as is their right. These are treated as Core System Files, and cannot be disabled or overwritten by the user. As a result, Ligos Indeo Software Codecs are not usable with these operating systems. In addition, some applications require Indeo 5.11 or greater and may not function on these newer Microsoft OSes. Unfortunately, Ligos is unable to provide a solution to users having issues with this change. Users should contact the original manufacturer of their application or webcam for help, and contact Microsoft Support for a solution. If you have one of these OSes, you should not purchase Ligos Indeo Software Codecs as they will not install, and we are unable to provide refunds for this issue.
Per tant en cas de que una aplicació no funcioni correctament en un d'aquest sistemes hauriem de recorrer a les actualitzacions de windows.

La veritat és que és una cagada molt gran; i una putada per (molta) gent.
Gràcies Aleix per tota l'ajuda que ens brindes als que som una miqueta inútils amb la informàtica.
Esperem poder trobar alguna solució.
